DDC Chairperson  Conducts extensive tour to  inspects Progress On Developmental Projects in Ganderbal 

Ganderbal, Oct 22: District Development Council Chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq today conducted a day-long tour to inspect the progress on several ongoing developmental projects being executed here in Ganderbal district.
DDC Chairperson was accompanied by the ADDC Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, SE R&B, ExEn R&B, CMO Ganderbal, officers of PDD besides other officers and PRIs.
During the tour, Nuzhat Ishfaq inspected progress on Wayil bridge, upgradation of Kurhama hospital, functioning of Badampora Grid station and other various works in the district.
She also attended a public outreach program at Kitchpara Kangan.
While inspecting the progress on Wayil bridge Superintending Engineer R&B Ganderbal briefed the DDC Chairperson about the design and completion of work on the bridge and was informed that two lane bridge has been approved at the cost of Rs 22 crore funded by World Bank .He said that the bridge will likely be thrown open for traffic by the end of this year.
He added that the span of the bridge is 110 meters and width is 10.50 meters besides, length of approach roads is 330 meters.
DDC Chairperson said to construct permanent concrete bridge over nallah Sindh near Wayil was a long pending demand and directed the executing agency to expedite the work on the bailey bridge so that it gets completed within a given timeline.
DDC Chairperson Ganderbal also visited PHC Kurhama and took stock of the functioning of the hospital.
During the visit, the DDC inspected various sections of the hospital and also inspected the attendance of the staff. She directed the concerned Block Medical Officer to ensure hassle free treatment and medical care of the patients.
Meanwhile, Nuzhat Ishfaq  paid visit to Badampora Power Grid Station where she inspected the ongoing work pace which is under augmentation process.
During her visit to the Grid station, she directed the officers to strictly adhere to the schedule already announced ensuring no unscheduled power cuts take place. She took first hand information from the officers regarding the overloading of Tullamulla and Lar feeders.
Later, The DDC Chairperson presided over a public outreach programme at Kitchpara Kangan which witnessed participation of locals including PRIs who apprised her about various issues and grievances and sought her intervention for early redressal.
