Bandipora, Oct 21: Police Commemoration Day-2022 was observed by Bandipora police today at DPL Bandipora to pay rich tributes to martyrs,who sacrificed their lives while serving the nation.
On this occasion Dy. Commissioner Bandipora Sh.Owais Ahmad-IAS and SSP Bandipora Shri. Mohmmad Zahid-JKPS presided over the function. Principal District and Sessions Judge Bandipora, CJM Bandipora ,ADC Bandipora,CPO Bandipora,CO-14 RR , CO 26 RR ,CO 3rd BN CRPF ,CO 14 BN BSF Hqr Madder,Addl.SP Bandipora Shri Ashiq Hussain Tak-JKPS, Dysp HQRS Bandipora Shri Mohmad Shafat-JKPS ,DYSP DAR Bandipora Shri Ishfaq Alam and other senior officers of police,Army CAPF also attended the function, besides families of police martyrs of district Bandipora, retired police personnel, prominent citizens & distinguished guests were also present.
SSP Bandipora read over the names of martyrs as a mark of homage, respect and remembrance.He also thanked all the family members of martyrs, prominent citizens, retired police personnel of Bandipora District for attending the commemoration day parade, besides SSP Bandipora in his speech emphasized on jawans to take forward the mission of Martyrs and ensure peace and stability in the society while performing their duties.
DC Bandipora in his address paid glorious tributes to the police Martyrs who laid their lives for the nation.He said the nation will always remain indebted to their supreme sacrifices.
After the guard of honour presented by the contingents of Police & CAPF , floral tributes were paid at Shaheedi Smarak by the senior officers of police, Army,CAPF and family members of Police Martyrs, prominent citizens, retired police personnel, distinguished guests.At the end of the programme as a token of remembrance, gift packs were given to all the family members of Police Martyrs.
