Artificial Limb Fitment Camp Organised For Differently Abled In North Kashmir

Srinagar,  Oct 15 :Indian Army in cooperation with Jaipur based NGO, Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), organized a two days Artificial Limb Fitment and Assistance Camp for specially abled persons. The camp was conducted at Hyderbeigh.

A team of prosthetics technicians provided their services that assessed the amputees and fitted artificial limbs. 58 differently abled people benefitted from the camp, which will assist them in overcoming their physical limitations and become independent. Beneficiaries were provided with 10 wheelchairs, 12 hearing aids, 24 calipers and 07 different types of crutches.

The camp was organised for two days on 14 & 15 Oct. On the first day Prosthetics and Orthopaedics doctors along with technicians from BMVSS had examined and taken measurements for manufacturing of artificial limbs for the differently abled of the area. On second day the same team of doctors and technicians fitted these prepared artificial limbs to the differently abled people.
