Weekly Block Diwas:DDC Chairperson Gbl chairs grievances redressal camp at Safapora

Ganderbal, Sep 28: To reach out to the public living in the far-off areas of the district and to redress their grievances at their doorsteps, the District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq today chaired the weekly Block Diwas programme at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Safapora, here.

The program was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; CPO, Irfan Giri; ACD, ACP, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti and other District and Sectoral heads of various departments.

BDC Chairperson Safapora, DDC member Safapora, other PRI Members and general public of the area also attended the Block Diwas program.

During the program, scores of issues of public importance were projected by the PRI members and prominent persons of the area, which include augmentation of existing roads and power infrastructure, better healthcare facilities and other issues of public importance.

Responding to the public issues, the DDC Chairperson said that the purpose of holding Block Diwas program is to assess the development needs of the people and to ensure timely disposal of the issues raised. She said that all the genuine issues will be discussed with the concerned heads of departments for timely redressal.

ADDC while speaking on the occasion said that timely and quality disposal of the issues of the general public is the top priority of the District Administration. He assured that all their genuine issues raised will be resolved in a time bound manner.

He further said that all the officers of line departments are directed to ensure speedy and time bound resolution of the issues raised in Block Diwas programme.
