Department of Posts launches Road Transport Network service between Srinagar and Leh

Srinagar, Sep 23 :The Department of Posts, Jammu and Kashmir Postal Circle today launched the Leh-Srinagar Road Transport Network (RTN) service. The service will provide daily, regular and reliable parcel connectivity to the people of the two regions.

RTN is operated by Department of Posts to provide end to end, secure transportation to parcels across the country. It was introduced in the country in 2019.

Both Leh and Srinagar are important tourist locations and economic hotspots. The launch of Leh-Srinagar service will help businessmen, craftsmen, artisans, MSME units and others in connecting their products with their markets both within the country and abroad. It will also benefit the local administration in ensuring smooth and regular supply of essential commodities, medical and other equipment, books and other items to the people of Ladakh.
