J&K reports 25 fresh Covid-19, one death

Srinagar, Sep 20 : Jammu and Kashmir reported 25 fresh covid-19 cases while there was one death due to the virus during the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

They said four cases were reported from Jammu division and 21 cases were from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 478972. Among the cases, 173925 are from Jammu division and 305047 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they said Srinagar 9, Baramulla 5, Budgam 1, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 3 and Kathua 1.

There was one death due to the virus during the time, from Jammu. So far 4785 people have succumbed to the virus and among them include 2352 from Jammu division and 2433 from the Valley.

Besides, they said, 46 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—31 from Jammu division and 15 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 172 active cases— 61 in Jammu and 111 in Kashmir.

The officials told GNS there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. Also 6002 doses of covid vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, they added.
