NCORD meeting held in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Sep 19: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba and SSP Ganderbal, Nikhil Borkar today chaired the District level Narco Coordination (NCORD) Centre meeting, here at  DC Office.

During the meeting brief discussion was held upon the action taken on directions passed in previous NCORD meeting.

Discussing the measures to eradicate drug abuse, the ADC urged upon all the officers to devise a multi-pronged strategy covering identification of addicts, their rehabilitation and counseling, awareness campaigning besides, identification and conviction of perpetrators.

SSP while interacting with the officers urged them to spread awareness through seminars, holding pledge taking ceremonies, capacity building programmes and other activities to be undertaken under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the district.

The meeting was attended by DSWO, Tehsildars and other concerned officials.
