On PM Modi’s Birthday, BJP Kashmir organises blood donation drive

‘Volunteers donate hundreds of pints of blood, several other registered for donation’

Srinagar , Sep 17: The BJP Kashmir organised a blood donation drive across all the district and sub district hospitals in Kashmir and donated hundreds of blood pints for deserving and needy as part of its fortnight-long “seva pakhwara” campaign to mark Prime Minister prime minister Narendra Modi’s 72nd birthday on Saturday.

The nation wide campaign has started on Saturday and would conclude on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

BJP national youth leader also incharge fort-night long Seva Pakhwara for Kashmir, Bilal Parray in a statement to media said that the primary objective of the campaign is to reach out to the poor and downtrodden and improve their quality of life.

“Today our youth donated 407 pints of blood in different hospitals and special camps in Kashmir”, Parray said, adding several other dozens of volunteers registered their name for donating blood in future.

The whole campaign was being supervised at national level by BJYM national president also member parliament Tejasvi Surya.

For South Kashmir, the blood donation camps were held under the leadership of senior BJP Altaf Thakur also convinor seva pakhwara.

In Central Kashmir by Arif Raja and North Kashmir by Anwar Khan.

The blood donation drive for Kashmir was monitored by Shelindra Singh.

Media monitoring was done by Manzoor Bhat.
Minority Morcha volunteers for blood donation was led by its present Sheikh Bashir Ahmed.

All the district presidents of BJP, senior leaders, BJYM leaders and activists took part in the campaign.
