Srinagar, Sep 10:The project Ladakh Ignited Minds : A Centre of Excellence and Wellness has been conceptualised to secure a better future for youth of UT of Ladakh and is a full-time residential program to mentor, support and guide them for a period of twelve months for entrance examinations of various Medical and Engineering Colleges, pan India. The program, under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps of Indian Army, is being executed by Kanpur based NGO, National Integrity & Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO). Indian Army is overlooking the program with requisite funding support through Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).
In the recently declared NEET UG results, the students of LIM once again have achieved exemplary results. 28 out of 34 students have qualified in the NEET exam 2022, wherein, four students have achieved more than 90 percentile. The result speaks volumes about the hardwork and perseverance of students and mentors and the potential of the project itself. The students will be attending their counselling session with JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Auth) under Ministry of Education, GoI and subsequently will get admitted in prestigious medical colleges pan India.
Indian Army remains committed in its efforts towards facilitating the under privileged but talented students of UT of Ladakh to find the best employment opportunities besides mentoring them in soft skills, leadership roles and overall personality development.
