Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan:YS&S Shopian organises Inter-Zonal District Level Athletic meet at Sports Stadium

Shopian, Sep 8: As part of ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, the Youth Services and Sports Department Shopian today conducted Inter-Zonal District Level Sports competition under all Age Groups at Sports Stadium, here.

Incharge Activity, DYSSO Shopian Riyaz Ahmad on the occasion raised awareness among the students regarding the ill effects of drugs. He asked students to start this campaign from their homes and make sure the campaign reaches their close ones.

DYSSO also detailed the benefits of physical exercises and how sports activities can get rid a person of drugs. He enjoined upon students to be champions of the anti-drug campaign and aware people in their localities about the alarming rise of drugs around them and its hazardous implications on families and nations economic and social health.

After his speech, all staff along with students took a pledge against the use of any sort of drug.

Thereafter, competitions were held among students of all age groups. A large number of students took part in these events.

Youth Services and Sports Shopian also organized Tennikoit under NMBA Program today at Shopian.

Later, the prizes were distributed among the winners and runners up.

Incharge activity thanked all the participants and the field staff for making it a successful event.

Meanwhile, the YS&S Shopian has been conducting many sports activities in the district under this campaign.
