India logs 10,256 new Covid cases

New Delhi, Aug 26 :India has registered 10,256 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Friday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,43,89,176 while the death toll rose to 5,27,556 as 68 more succumbed to the disease.

On the other hand, 13,528 people recuperated from the disease, taking the recovery to 4,37,70,913. The recovery rate stands at 98.61 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 90,707, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 88.43 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 211.13 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
