SKorea reports 113,371 new Covid cases

Seoul, Aug 25 : South Korea reported 113,371 new Covid-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 22,701,921, the health authorities said on Thursday.

The daily caseload was down from 139,339 in the previous day and lower than 178,533 tallied a week ago, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA).

For the past week, the daily average number of confirmed cases was 120,148.
Among the new cases, 369 were imported, lifting the total to 56,514.

The number of infected people who were in a serious condition stood at 566, down seven from the previous day.
A total of 108 more deaths were confirmed, leaving the death toll at 26,332.
