Mandeep Kaur reviews progress of IWMP

Srinagar, Aug 25: Commissioner Secretary Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kaur today reviewed progress of Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) here.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) IWMP, Dr Bharat Bhushan briefed the meeting about the status of the programme.  The meeting was also attended by Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Er Aamir Ali and all District Project Managers of IWMP.

It was informed during the meeting that 37 Projects under IWMP scheme of Phase 3rd, 4th & 5th have been completed and the Base Line Survey (BSL) of all Watershed Management Projects in the Districts is nearing completion.

117 Projects under ‘Entry Point Activity’ (EPA) have also been identified and 97 works already put to tenders, including 25 Amrit Sarovar works.

Commissioner Secretary Rural Development appreciated the progress and gave directions to complete the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of all the identified works within one month.
