Police Solves Twin Burglary Cases in B’la; Accused Arrested, Stolen Property Worth Lacs Recovered

Baramulla, Aug 22: Police in Baramulla district solved two burglary cases, pertaining to Mirgund and Palhallan. The separate investigating teams arrested the accused persons on whose possession stolen property worth lacs was recovered.

An investigation was set into motion after a case was registered under case FIR No. 240/2022 u/s 457, 380 IPC of PS Pattan. As informed, the incident took place at Bhat Colony Mirgund Pattan in which household items were taken away by the burglars. The investigating team led by Inspector Irshad Ahmad, IC PP Mirgund, after strenuous efforts led to arrest of three burglars namely: 1) Aijaz Ahmad Malla son of Gh Mohd Malla 2) Syed Ubaid Shah, son of Syed Mustafa Shah and Zaffar Hussain Wani son of Nisar Ahmad Wani – all residents of Yakhmanpora Pattan, District Baramulla.

On their disclosure copper utensils, shoes, gold ring and cash were recovered from their possession.

Similarly, Police Post Palhallan while investigating a burglary case which was earlier registered under case FIR No. 233/2022 u/s 457, 380 IPC of PS Pattan. The incident took place at Saderbal Palhallan, Pattan in which household items were taken away by the burglars, after hectic efforts by SI Ather Parviaz, IC PP Palhallan which to arrest of burglar namely; Umar Ahmad Khanday, son of Gh Mohammad Khanday resident of Khanday Mohalla Pattan.

On sustained questioning, the accused divulged the information leading to the recovery of copper utensils and water pumps.

Meanwhile, the general public of Mirgund and Pahallan have hailed the efforts and action of the police.
