CIIIT Baramulla signs MoU with NIT Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 20: The CIIIT, Government Polytechnic College, Baramulla, under the Directorate of Skill Development, J&K entered into an MOU with the National Institute of Technology(NIT), Srinagar.

The agreement between the parties was entered by Er. Altaf Gohar, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic College Baramulla on behalf of Government Polytechnic College, Baramulla, and Prof. Rakesh Sehgal, Director, NIT Srinagar.

The Agreement was signed in the presence of Prof. M.F Wani (Dean R&C, NIT Srinagar),Dr. Shahid Saleem (Head T&P, NIT Srinagar), Dr. Saad Parvaiz (Head IIEDC, NIT Srinagar), Dr. Dinesh Kumar (Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engg Deptt, NIT Srinagar) and Er. Pervaiz Bhat, HOD Govt. Polytechnic College Baramulla.

Government Polytechnic College, Baramulla, has established a Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) in collaboration with Tata Technologies Ltd. Pune, for providing integrated training on technical and skill development and other disruptive technologies conforming to industry 4.0.

The aim of this MOU is also to promote the culture of innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship among the students, which will lead to the development of new products and technologies in the UT of J&K.
