Burglars Loot 3 shops, house in Surankote Poonch

Poonch, Aug 19 : Burglars targeted three shops and a house in Surankote area of Poonch last night and allegedly decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees.

Locals told GNS that theft occurred in three shops and a house near BDO office Surankote.

The shops, they said, include that of Abdul Ghani (sold and silver shop), Rohil Dutta (Mobile Shop)and Mohammad Latief (provisional store). A rented house belonging to Prevaiz Ahmad was also looted, they said.

The locals expressed resentment over alleged lack of action on part of the Police and urged the law enforcing agency to acted more “promptly then they do.”

SHO Surankote Rajveer Singh told GNS a team of police is on job. “FSL teams were also called to the spot and all technological aids are being utilized along with regular measures,” he added.
