Rupee rises 7 paise against USD

Mumbai, Aug 11 :The Rupee on Thursday gained seven paise at 79.44 against the USD in opening trade on selling of the US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.

The domestic unit advanced in early trade due to weak Dollar against other world currencies.
The Rupee unit registered days high and low at 79.40 and 79.49 respectively against the US Dollar, dealer added.
