“Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the“Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”

Srinagar, Aug 11 : A joint Tiranga March by officers and men of JKAP 5th Battalion and IRP 6th Battalion was taken out today on 11th August, 2022 on the Boulevard Road, Srinagar to mark the celebration of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the“Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiative.

The march was held to spread awareness about our National Flag. Hundreds of leaflets highlighting the salient features of the Tiranga were also distributed among citizens.

The event was organised jointly by the two battalions under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), 2022-23.

In order to inculcate nationalism and patriotism among School children and common masses and to celebrate 75th year of Independence week under “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV”, IRP-20th Battalion organises “Har Ghar Jhanda” programme during under CAP 2022-23 for conduct Special Tiranga Marches on the theme “Aan Baan Shaan of Tiranga” at Govt. School Ahanger Mohalla Yakmanpora Pattan Baramulla on 11.08.2022 in which officers/men of the unit as well as students/staff of the school besides the respectable, Sarpanch, Panchs and ladies participated. The aim of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is to evoke nationalism and patriotism across the Country.

During campaign Sh. Baqar Samoon-SSP Commandant IRP-20th BN. advised to the officers/officials as well as Staff/students of the school & locals of the area that the Indian Flag be flown or displayed in houses and the main goal of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign is to help people develop a personal connection with our country’s flag. He spoke about the history of Independence in the light of Dandi March of 12th March 1930 led by Mahatma Gandhi in which 78 participants started their march from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi in Gujrat.

The purpose of the programme was to encourage the students/staff of the school as well as locals of the area to bring the Tiranga home & to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection with Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building.

Shri Raj Singh Gouria, SSP Commandant JKAP-14th Bn. today flagged off the “HarGharTiranga” rally from JKAP-14th Bn. APC Manasbal under CAP.

Shri Abdul Rehman, DySP JKAP-14th Bn. and other senior officers of the unit were also present on the occasion.

Holding the national flag, large number of Police Personnel of JKAP-14th Bn. riding motorcycles/ driving Cars took part in the rally. The rally passed through Chak, ChakYangoora, Baroosa, Wandhama, Repora, Nightang, Lar, Watlar, Benhama, Manigam, Haripora, Wusan, Prang, Kechpora, Kangan and other areas in the vicinity upto ITI Kangan and concluded at Bn. Headquarters APC Manasbal.

 

“HarGharTiranga” is a campaign under the aegis of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag of India (Tiranga) in their homes and to celebrate the 75 glorious years of a progressive Independent India.

 

Shri Raj Singh Gouria-SSP in his address highlighted the significance of our flag as unifying force in India as we proudly hoist our National flag, we also reflect and uphold our national values of oneness, harmony and universal brotherhood”, he suggested.

 

He further said that the objective of the rally was to invoke the feelings of patriotism, national pride and belonging in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
