CBC displays exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at town hall Kathua, LG Manoj Sinha inaugurates

Kathua, Aug 11 :Central Bureau of Communication Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, Regional Office, Jammu in coordination with District Administration Kathua organized a photo exhibition on the theme ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Ghar Ghar Tiranga’ through its Field Office Kathua today.

The Exhibition showcased India’s struggle for freedom through display panels. Major events of the freedom struggle showcased at the exhibition included Revolt of 1857, Non- Cooperation Movement, Establishment of Home rule, Champaran Satyagraha, Kheda Satyagraha, Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, Khilafat Movement, Chauri-Chaura Incident, Dandi March or Namak Satyagraha, Azad Hind Fauj, Quit India Movement and partition of India. A special facet was also put up to highlight the contribution of freedom fighters belonging to J&K and Ladakh.

Selfie corner, cutouts of national heroes and ‘New India Samachar’ magzine of Govt of India were the main attraction for the youth. People in hundreds visited the exhibition which helped them in inculcating the passion of nationalism among the youth and to make them understand the hardships faced by freedom fighters and their sacrifices to achieve the goal of freedom. LG Shri Manoj Sinha paid homage to the national heroes on the occasion.
