J&K Police books 2 drug peddlers under NDPS Act

Srinagar, July 28 :Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have booked two drug peddlers under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.


Police said on a routine checking at Hyderbeigh Pattan, Police arrested one drug peddler identified as Jahangir Ahmad Shah a resident of Shia Mohalla Delina Baramulla and recovered 50 bottles of banned VINCIREX (Codeine Phosphate), 4 strips of ALPRASAFE and 13 strips of SPASMOPROXYVON from his possession.


Asrar Ahmad Wani of Kechimatpora Kunzer was also arrested at a check point at Tangmarg Market near Snow Bakery and 105 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession.
Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and Tangmarg against the accused and investigation set in motion.
