DHSK Reviews Health Care Arrangements for Muharram in District Budgam

Holds Meeting at CMO Office Budgam, Felicitates NGOs for Their Commendable Services

Srinagar, July 25 : Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather on Monday reviewed health care arrangements for Muharram procession at Budgam and took stock of health care facilities to be provided to mourners during Muharram processions.

The detailed meeting which was chaired by DHSK was held in the CMO Office Budgam wherein CMO Budgam Dr Tajamul Hussain Khan appraised the chair about the action plan regarding the health care services to be made available during the procession.

The meeting apart from Chief Medical Officer Budgam was attended by various health administrators of District Budgam wherein DHSK emphasized on fool proof delivery system while providing health care services to the mourners.

Further, the director interacted with various NGOs and senior citizens who have been doing tremendous job during Muharram processions over the years. The Director felicitated NGOs and individuals for their extraordinary work during the Muharram processions. They were also given felicitation certificates and the director acknowledged their role and support to the health department during Muharram Ul Haram.

Moreover during the extensive meeting DHSK directed CMO Budgam to ensure that all the drugs, disposables and logistics with related to the Muharram procession are in bulk and there shall be timely distribution of the same for smooth ongoing of procession.He also directed the CMO to establish a full-fledged Control Room at CMO Office Budgam for better coordination and hassle free health care services provided during the holy procession.

The 1st Muharram will fall on Saturday, 30 July 2022 while 10th Muharram (Ashura) will be observed on Monday, 8 August 2022. Every year the directorate makes health care arrangements for the Muharram Ul Haram.
