Jammu, July 25 : A Sub-Inspector of Border Security Force allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon at Border Outpost in Kanhachak area here in the city outskirts.
Police said as per reports, at about 6:35 am, the BSF men heard a gun shot and rushed towards the BOP and found their colleague Ramdev Singh, Sub Inspector deployed at BOP BT Forward of International Border, Kahachak in a pool of blood.
He had committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon.
The officer hailed from Sirkar district of Rajasthan.
Police said the court of enquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of death.
