Srinagar, July 25 :Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is holding a Tiranga bikers rally which would be flagged off from the Clock tower Lal Chowk, the summer capital of Srinagar city for Kargil amid unprecedented security arrangements on Monday.
A contingent of 300 bikers will participate in the rally from Lal Chowk to Kargil in view of the “Kargil Vijay Divas” being celebrated on Tuesday across the country to pay homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil war against Pakistan.
Heavy security deployment has been made around the Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk Srinagar as the senior BJP leaders have assembled to organize the first “Tiranga bikers rally” from Lal Chowk to Kargil, to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas 2022.
The roads from Regal Chowk to Hari Singh High Street were closed and security forces deployed in strength manning all lanes and bylanes to thwart any untoward incident.
Most of the shops from Regal Chowk to Hari Singh High Street besides a couple of schools in the vicinity will be closed. However, shopkeepers can gradually open their shops in Lal Chowk during the function.
