India records 15,528 new Covid cases

New Delhi, July 19 : India recorded 15,528 new Covid-19 cases, thereby taking the total tally of active caseload to 1,43,654 as per the Health Ministry data on Tuesday.


As many as 25 fresh Covid fatalities were also recorded, taking the total death count in the country to 5,25,785
Meanwhile, 16,113 recoveries were reported during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,31,13,623 in the country, whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate currently stands at 98.47 percent.
Since Monday a total of 4,68,350 tests for Covid have been conducted across the country.


“India has administered 200.33 cr doses of Covid-19 vaccine (92.66 cr second dose, and 5.89 cr precaution dose ), so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said.
