Infiltration bid foiled in Tangdhar Kupwara, Militant, Army trooper killed

Srinagar, July 08:An unidentified militant, army soldier were killed when a infiltration bid was foiled by Army in Tangdhar sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.

Official sources told GNS that one unidentified militant was killed during a infiltration bid in Tangdhar sector while as search for other militant is on.

Meanwhile an Army trooper of 6-JAK Rifle identified as Jasvir Singh also recieved bullet wound during exchange of fire. He was shifted to hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile from the possession of slain militant, one AK-47, 4 pistols, 3 AK-47 Magazines, 3 Pistol Magazines, 5 hand grenades and ammunition recovered, they said.
