CCIK seeks prices regulation on Eid eve

Srinagar, July 8 : Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir ( CCIK ) has urged government authorities to regulate prices of essential commodities in the Valley in view of Eid-ul-Azha preparations.
In a statement, CCIK President Tariq Rashid Ghani said they have received complaints from shoppers about profiteering in certain markets especially at mandis selling sacrificial animals.
Ghani urged the government to intensify market checking at these places so that common people don’t suffer.
CCIK also urged the administration to keep enough stock of essential commodities in the market so that prices are regulated.
CCIK further requested the Waqf Board to keep arrangements of Shamiyana for devotees at shrines and Eidgahs so that they are Eid prayers under shade.
The CCIK President also wished Eid Greetings to Kashmiri Muslims in particular and Ummah in general and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the Valley.
