Director, MoIB & CNO inspects works under Jal Shakti Abiyan- CTR 2022 at Kupwara

Kupwara, July 6:  The Director, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MoIB)&  Central  Nodal Officer,  for Jal Shakti Abiyan : Catch The Rain, 2022,  Vrunda Manohar Desai, who is on two-day visit to Aspirational District Kupwara visited various areas of Kupwara district today to review the progress of flagship programme ‘Jal Shakti Abiyan- Catch the Rain 2022’.

She was accompanied by Technical Officer, MoIB GoI; ACD Kupwara, Executive Engineers and other concerned officers.

During the visit, Vrunda Manohar Desai inspected various works taken under the Jal Shakti Abiyan in the district. She inspected Amrit Sarovar at Hapathnar in Lalpora Sogam.

During the inspection, she interacted with the people as well as officers and received the feedback from ground zero. The people expressed satisfaction for creating the water sar facility which irrigates their paddy fields and provides water for animals as well.

On the occasion, the people demanded for more depth of the sar and fencing around it.

She inspected plantation closure at Lalpora Sogam and planted conifer and chinar saplings there. Besides, She also inspected Syed Sheeraz Storage Tank at Doorsu.

The Director also inaugurated Kanduger Storage Tank Gulgam in presence of BDC Chairperson Qadirabad and concerned officers.
