Srinagar, July 5:The Kargil Victory Flame to commemorate stellar victory in 1999 War against Pakistan on its journey to Kilo Force arrived today at Zainakot – a peaceful town with rich cultural heritage.
The arrival of Kargil Victory Flame at Zainakot and welcome by Kargil War Veterans brought along mixed bag of memories. Kargil Victory Flame was received with full military honours by Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles and was brought to War Memorial at Battalion Headquarters in Zainakot.
Subsequently, A victory rally on Cars and bikes was taken out by Kashmiri youth enroute National Highway-1. Sight of Kargil Victory Flame travelling on Srinagar- Baramulla- Uri – Muzaffarabad highway was a spectacular sight.
