Teenage Boy Dies After Falling Into Well in Kralpora Kupwara

Kupwara, June 27 : A 17-year-old boy has died after falling into a well in Lone Harie village of Kralpora area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports reaching GNS said that Bilal Ahmad Mochi, son of Abdul Ahad Mochi, resident of Lone Harie fell into an open well this afternoon. On learning about it, the family and locals, later assisted by police, launched efforts to rescue the boy. After nearly an hour of strenuous efforts, the boy was retrieved in an unconscious condition, however could not be revived thereafter.

Confirming the incident, a police official told GNS that a team has been deputed to the site to look for possible reason, which might have led to his falling into the well.

Meanwhile a pall of gloom descended over the whole area on the tragic death of the boy.
