India logs 15,940 new Covid cases

New Delhi, June 25 :India recorded 15,940 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 91,779 as per the Union Health Ministry data on Saturday.

With this, the tally touched 4,33,62,294, while the death toll stood at 52,4974 with 20 more deaths reported.

Total 12,425 more people recovered from the disease, taking the total tally to 4,27,61,481.

The active cases comprise 0.21 per cent of the total infections, whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.58 per cent.

According to the bulletin, 86.02 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,63,103 tests have been conducted.

“India has administered 196.94 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said.
