They said one Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Dragmulla area of frontier Kashmir’s Kupwara district, was hit by an unknown vehicle at Rajbagh here leaving him critically injured.
He was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and initiated investigations to trace the vehicle involved in the accident.
