Army’s Air Defence Regiment establishes national flag post in Budgam school

Srinagar, June 18 :Army’s 130 Air Defence Regiment of Chinar Air Defence Brigade established a national flag post at a Government School in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Army said on Saturday.


The flag post was established at Government School, B K Pora Budgam under Army’s operation Sadbhavna (goodwill)- which aims to win hearts and minds of people in J&K.
Army said the establishment of flag post is part of the initiative by Chinar Air Defence Brigade wherein construction of National Flag Posts in ten government schools in far flung areas of Budgam district is planned.

The construction of the flag post was received with enthusiasm by students & teachers of the school, it said.

A small event was also organised where Principal of the school Sabeela Rahman thanked the Education Department and Indian Army for establishing the flag post and creating an atmosphere of positivity and integrating young children into the national mainstream.
Brigadier Tarun Narula, Commander Chinar Air Defence Brigade attended the flag hoisting ceremony and thanked the school staff for providing a positive and conducive environment for successful conduct of the event.
To motivate the students in making physical fitness a way of life, few sports items were also provided to the head boy of the School.
