Sports Department organises cycle rally at Udhampur

Udhampur, June 7: Department of Youth Services & Sports Udhampur today organised cycle rally under the patronage of Principal Secretary Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K UT Alok Kumar & under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna  and under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports officer Udhampur S. Swaran Singh.

The Rally was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Syed Khan. The rally started from DC Office Udhampur and passed through Salathia Chowk, Mukherjee Bazar, Gole Market and  culminated at Mini stadium Udhampur.

As many as 135 Cycle riders including males and females participated in the rally.

Addressing the rally, the ADC advised the participants to spread the message of peace in the society. He further urged everyone to stay fit  by doing exercise regularly and to play in at least one sport.

Among others present were Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral; DIO NIC Udhampur, Anil Sharma, Team of Doctors from CMO Udhampur, UB Cyclists group, Students of Bhasker College, Shivalik College Professional Cyclist, police personnel and parents.
