Jammu Civil Defence sensitises civilians on safety measures in disasters

Jammu, June 4 :The Jammu Civil Defence on Saturday sensitised civilians on safety measures to be taken during natural and manmade disasters during a day-long awareness campaign organized for the residents of village Kanachak and Jhiri here in the city outskirts.


Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu, DySP Anita Pawar supervised the campaign.
She said the basic knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Choking, Fire fighting and other Emergency rescue methods were provided by the experts on the spot with demonstrations.
Nearly 50 civilians, including ladies, attended the programme.
Pawar in her address highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organisation.
Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, R Vijay Magotra Dy Chief Warden CD Jammu and Kuldeep Raj Post Warden CD Jammu also attended the programme and spread awareness.
