Srinagar, June 2 : An elderly man was crushed to death when he was hit by a train in Anantnag on Thursday, officials said.
A railway official confirming the incident said an unidentified man was hit by train (04474) in between Anantnag—Sadura section near Km 15 at Chodhama area of Mir Bazar in south Kashmir.
The man died on the spot and his identification is being ascertained, he said.
