Srinagar, May 30 :Driver of a truck was killed and its conductor injured when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Drass on the Srinagar-Ladakh highway on Monday.
The truck was on its way to Srinagar from Kargil when the accident took place and 35-year-old Ghulam Hassan, the driver hailing from Kangan area, was killed on the spot.
The condition of the conductor is said to be stable, source said.
Police have registered a case.
