2 arrested with charas in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 30 :Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered charas from them in Srinagar on Monday.

Police station Kralkhud on a tip-off regarding a notorious drug peddler identified as Ghulam Hassan Bhat in association with one Sartaj Ahmad Ganie both residents of Mirgund kanelwan Bijbehara in south Kashmir transporting contraband in a load carrier from S P college road towards Barbarshah in Srinagar.

The police party laid a naka at Barbarshah road and during the checking of said load carrier 1 kg of Charas like substance was recovered from them.

Both accused have been arrested and a case under relevant sections of law stands registered.
