YSS Organise Mega sports Mela at Pulwama

Pulwama, May 28: A three-day multi-sports event was inaugurated by Joint Director Kashmir of the Department of Youth Services and Sports at sports stadium here. Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi matches  are being played by students of different schools of the District.
An overwhelming response from the 32 higher Secondary schools of the district was recorded in every discipline.
While speaking on the occasion, JD YSS appreciated the efforts of the DYSSO Pulwama and the entire district-based workforce of the Department for organising sports events for students and non-students in every sports zone of the district.
He further stated that high-standard sports infrastructure is being developed across the UT of J&K for the talented youth to felicitate them in polishing their sports skills. He impressed upon all the participants to actively participate in games and sports to achieve all-round development of their personality.
He also said that the sports field is emerging as the most job-oriented field as it equally offers name and fame and other luxuries for life as many other field are known for in the society.
