Implementation of ABD programme discussed at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May 28: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress in meeting the developmental indicators under Aspirational Block Development (ABD) programme rolled out in two blocks of Lar and Gund at VC Room, here.

At the outset, threadbare discussion was held on plan formulation and key indicators of development needs in these blocks and all line departments were directed to reconcile all data so that realistic information is submitted to avoid any mismatch.

The guidelines and parameters were also shared with the officers and they were instructed to work in tune with the same to achieve the set benchmarks under ABDP.

The DDC urged all the line departments to focus on poverty alleviation, basic infrastructure and promotion of education, agriculture development, health and nutrition needs in these blocks.

All line departments were directed to work in coordinated manner and activate field functionaries for effective implementation of the programme on ground and to ensure the expeditious improvement in socio-economic uplift of people in these areas.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, ACD, CMO, DPO, CAO, BDOs Lar and Gund, besides other officers of concerned departments.
