Srinagar, May 26 :Jammu and Kashmir Police has identified the two local militants who were allegedly involved in the killing of a policeman and wounding his nine-year-old daughter in Srinagar.

Selection grade Constable Saifullah Qadri was killed while his nine-year-old daughter was injured when militants fired at them outside their house in Soura on the outskirts of Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon. Qadri was on leave at the time of the attack.

Police said the attack was carried out by the Lashkar-e-Taiba’s shadow group, The Resistance Front.
“Two local terrorists of proscribed terrorist outfit LeT (TRF) were involved in the incident,” Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said. “They have been identified as Adil of Ganderbal and newly recruited terrorist Aquib of Budgam.”
