Forest Department Officials Conducts Surprise Checking of Vehicles in Anantnag

Anantnag, May 24 :Officials of Forest Department on Tuesday evening conducted a surprise checking of vehicles along Vailoo-Kokernag road in Kokernag range in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

An official part of the inspection team said that Conservator of Forests, Kashmir South Circle Irfan Ali Shah along with DFO Anantnag and Forest Control Room officials laid surprise nakas and checking of suspicious vehicles was done on Vailoo-Kokernag Road in Kokernag Range this evening.

The checking is being done to nab the culprits involved in timber smuggling, the official said.

The checking was going on, when this report was being filed.
