DDC chairperson visit to various areas of Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May, 23:District Development council (DDC) chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq today took an extensive tour of the various villages of District Ganderbal where she listened to the grievances of the people on spot and inspected ongoing developmental works.

Among others she was accompanied by Tehsildar Ganderbal, and officers from PHE, PDD, I&FC and other line departments.

 

During the day long tours, DDC Chairperson visited Khalmulla, Rangil, Alestang, Buserbugh, Bakura, and Hadoora areas and listened to the various issues faced by the locals of these villages.

 

The DDC Chairperson was apprised about the issues pertaining to augmentation of Water Supply Schemes, Drainage, Upgradation of Roads, Irrigation and Flood Control and others were put forth by the locals and PRIs for which she assured them that all the genuine issues will be resolved in time bound manner.

At WSS Bakura, locals demanded for the resumption of work on halted Water Supply Scheme, and demand for an alternative way for supplying water in the areas until its commissioning.

At Alesteng, authorities of I&FC were directed to regulate the water supply of the AC canal for making water available for irrigation purposes.

Meanwhile, Nuzhat Ishfaq also inspected various ongoing developmental works in these villages and stressed the concerned officers to expedite the work so that targets are achieved on time and people are benefited.
