DC reviews progress achieved in estimation of RDD works under District plan

Udhampur, May 21: To review the progress of preparation of estimates of works proposed under District Capex Budget, Area Development plan for the financial year 2022-23, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today convened a meeting of officers of Rural Development Department here at Mini  Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur.

Threadbare discussions were held on various aspects of Area Development plan which includes details of Panchayat / Block wise works for which measurement /estimation have been done, Collection of block wise documents/formalities required for registration of contractors, Submission of the PRI plans by the BDOs after verification etc were discussed in detail.

While reviewing the Block wise progress of estimation, the DC directed the BDOs to complete the process and submit the plan by Monday. She added that the Area Development Plan must be holistic, covering all the sectors. She asked the concerned to pace up the pending estimation and expedite pace of work on ongoing projects to complete them within the given timeframe.

“The efforts should be made to complete the plan formulation exercise in a time bound manner with consultation of all stakeholders: the DC reiterated. He asked to give preference to the works repeatedly projected by the locals at different platforms.

Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zarger; SE, PWD, Kishore Kumar; Assistant Commissioner Development, Dharam Paul; Executive Engineer REW, Ram Singh, Xen PWD all BDOs and other officers were present in the meeting.
