DDC Chairperson Ganderbal inaugurates 12 Days Training programme for SHG members

Ganderbal,May 20: In a joint initiative, the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), UMEED in collaboration with Department of Skill development, J&K today kick started training programme for up-skilling of members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) of UMEED.

 The training programme for these SHG members was inagurated by the District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq at ITI Ganderbal.

  Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson highlighted objective of the skill development programme and said that the programme is rolled to assist women and SHG members to augment their skills and improve their livelihoods opportunities.

 “The up-skilling of SHG members will expand their capabilities thereby increasing the possibilities of employability” added the Chairperson.

 District Officer NRLM Ganderbal, Principal ITI Ganderbal and Block Programme Managers of the District besides other were also present.
