YSS organise Kho-Kho Kabaddi Volleyball Competitions

Srinagar, 19 May: YSS organised Inter School Zonal Level Kho-Kho & Kabaddi for U/14 and U/17 Boys at Wangipora Sumbal ground. In Kho Kho U/14 Boys MS SHIGANPORA-A took first position & MS WANGIPORA took the 2nd position.


In Kabaddi U/17 Boys HSS NOWGAM clinched the first place & NEW GREEN LAND took the second position.
Certificates were awarded to winners & Runners up of these competitions.
Similarly in another activity of the Department, inter School Zonal Level Competitions in the discipline of Kho-Kho for U/14 & U/17 Boys were organised in the premises of BHSS Yaripora. 264 Student players Participated from different schools of the zone. In Devsar sports zone of the District, Volleyball Competitions were organised for the age group of U/14 and U/ 17 Boys in which 359 students participated. All the Zonal Officers awarded their meritorious participants with Medals and Certificates.
In another south Kashmir district, Inter-zonal district level long distance race for all age groups was flagged off for (Boys) from BUNDZOO BRIDGE and it ended at CHS Pulwama where a short but an impressive felicitation ceremony was held and the meritorious athletes were felicitated by DYSSO Pulwama and other officers and officials of the Department. The long-distance race proved an eye-catching activity for the local spectators and sports lovers. Athletes from all sports zones of the District participated in the activity. The felicitation cum award ceremony began with the speech of Dysso Pulwama who enjoined upon all the participants and the officials about the benefits of the early morning running and its long lasting effects on our daily life. The event ended smoothly as all the arrangements were put in place in advance.
