Comm Secy reviews progress on works under PMAGY

Jammu, May 18: Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Sheetal Nanda, today chaired a meeting to review progress on works being executed under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY) along with revised plan.

Pertinently, PMAGY was launched with an aim to ensure integrated development of Scheduled Castes majority villages.

Commission Secretary had a detailed discussion with the concerned officials about the revised plan and implementation of development works under PMAGY. She exhorted upon them to make sure that all these vital works are completed in a time bound manner while ensuring adherence to all set quality parameters.

Commissioner Secretary took district wise review of welfare schemes and other works being taken up under the Yojana. She asked the officers to work with utmost dedication and zeal for socio-economic uplift of people. She stressed upon the officers to focus on welfare oriented schemes to provide maximum benefit to the people.

Senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting while officers from Kashmir division attended online.
