DC Kupwara visits Nutnussa Migrant Colony; redresses issues on spot

Kupwara, May 13: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today visited  Nutnussa  to take stock of facilities being provided to ‘Kashmiri Pandits’ at Nutnussa Migrant Colony in Kupwara district.

The DC inspected interior areas of the colony and reviewed the facilities at length.  He patiently listened to all demands put forth by the residents of the colony.

He assured them that their demands including security, appropriate posting of employees, proper accommodation, augmentation in water supply, electricity and smooth supply of ration, would be resolved at district administration level and those which cannot be resolved here,  would be recommended to higher authorities for timely resolution .

 Khalid Jahangir assured them that Government and District Administration is at the back of Migrant Colony, Nutnussa and their every issue would be resolved on priority basis.

 Earlier, the DC gave spot directions to the concerned  officers for timely redressal of grievances and other issues.

He was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara, Yougal Manhas; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir, concerned Tehsildar and officers.
