DDC Anantnag reviews developmental works of Health sector

Stresses on timely completion of projects

Anantnag, May 11: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla today reviewed the developmental works of the health sector.

At the outset of the meeting, the chair was informed about the progress/ status of various works/projects being undertaken in the district.

SE R&B while briefing the chair about the various ongoing works of the health sector said that work is in progress as per timeline and shall be completed within the stipulated time.

Some of the prominent works discussed during the meeting included compound walling of SDH Kokernag, fencing of PHC Hiller, renovation of Gynae Hall at Akingam, residential quarter at Teelwani, sub centres at Chee, Nagam, Katsoo, Gunoor, etc. A detailed discussion was held regarding the procurement of various machines and medical equipment.

The DC directed the SE and Executive Engineers concerned to ensure proper planning and timely implementation of projects to achieve cent percent fund utilization and said that any laxity in timely expenditure of funds will invite action. Directing the health officials to make every sub centre functional, he said appropriate staff and equipment should be deployed.

The implementing agencies were directed to verify the nature of land before the execution and ensure that public funds are utilized only in developing infrastructure on state land. He further said that the building completed must be handed over to the concerned departments without any undue delay so that the same can benefit the public.

Issues related to land disputes, paucity of funds, estimation, individual interferences were discussed and concerned officials were directed to resolve them at the earliest.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, SE R&B, CMO, CPO, Ex. Engineers of R&B Khanabal, Vailoo and AEEs, besides representatives from various other implementing agencies.
