DC Srinagar reviews status of Land allotment for newly created Police Stations/ Police Posts

 Srinagar, May 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired an officers meeting to review the process of allotment of land for newly created Police Stations/ Police Posts in the district at the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex here.

During the meeting a detailed discussion was held with regard to feasibility and identification of land for newly created Police Posts in the district at Nowgam, Channapora, Nishat, Bagyaas, Noor bagh, UrduBazar (SR Gunj), Qamarwari, Hazratbal, Tengpora and Khimber.

 On the occasion, the DC asked SDMs and Tehsildars concerned to complete the process of land identification for the said purpose within 10 days. The Sub collectors also raised the point of difficulty in finding State Land at few urban places which are already congested. DC told them to rework and come out with a solution within stipulated time.

The meeting among others was attended by the Superintendent of Police(Hqtr), Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub Divisional Magistrate East and Concerned Tehsildars.
