DC Ganderbal inspects functioning of DH

Ganderbal, May 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today visited District Hospital (DH) to inspect its functioning and facilities being provided to the patients there.

The DC took round of various units like emergency block, OPD, IPD, XRAY and USG unit, oxygen plant, Blood Bank, Dialysis Centre besides took status of ongoing works including installation of firefighting and Central Heating System.

He interacted with the patients admitted in different wards besides enquiring about health care facilities and availability of medical staff there.

The DC directed the medical superintendent of the hospital to ensure availability of medical staff and medical stocks for attending patients efficiently and ensuring proper medical attention is given to each patient. He also stressed for proper segregation of bio medical waste and maintaining cleanliness in and around the Hospital premises.

The Medical Superintendent DH briefed the DC about the facilities being provided to the patients and status of various ongoing works.

While inspecting the facilities available to the patients, the DC said that District Administration is committed to provide more sophisticated healthcare to the people within the district and in this regard necessary instructions are given to the Hospital Administration.

The concerned officials briefed the DC about the physical and financial progress of ongoing works and was informed that work on installation of Central Heating System is in full swing for which DC urged them to expedite the work on Central Heating System so that it is made functional at an earliest.

Later, the DC inspected the recently constructed General Nursing and Midwifery College adjacent to the DH and enquired about the facilities available to the patients.

Meanwhile, the DC also visited the proposed site for the link road from SSP Office Ganderbal to Duderhama via District Hospital.

During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Medical Superintendent Ganderbal, Dr. Yasmeen and other concerned officers.
